Jesus is the son of God. Therefore, it is not hard to understand that God is the Father. He is our Heavenly Father because He is the Creator of the world. Upon Salvation (the point when we call upon Jesus to be our Savior and declare him as the Lord of our life) we become children of God. I belong to the church (body of believers) along with my brothers and sisters.
